          And nothing more.
          Traveler there is no path
The path is made by walking.
By walking you make a path
          And turning, you look back

          Only wakes in the sea.”

Festival “Synthetic gardens”
Concerning the image Nr 2 (previous post) it is an artist’s installation at the Camelite chapel. I gave this installation a title: “Between real and unreal.” It is from the scenographer and artist Émilie Faïf.
Her work is made of dreams which are matching with reality's colors and contours. They are kind of drawing a double where light has no shadows, where heaviness becomes lightness, where wishes never fall back.
   photo 1262IMG_4979_zps2caeda54.jpg

I must admit I did not like this installation very much probably because of the chosen material; on the other hand the work had to be synthetic…
   photo 1263IMG_4976_zps4a3f6e06.jpg

Too bad I haven't seen yet any of her other works but I advise you to sit back, click on the link and enjoy. It is full of wonderful surprises.

Map Toulouse 2014/3 - Chapelle des Carmélites (1643) -

 photo 1251IMG_4982_zps287ea981.jpg

The Carmelite chapel (1643)
The chapel is under the authority of the Ministry of Culture since 1975.
Southern Gothic: four bays and one apse in three parts. The ceiling and the walls are covered with oil paintings created by Jean-Pierre Rivals (1625-1706), a painter from Toulouse, and his successor Jean-Baptiste Depax who have been inspired by the Sistine Chapel.
There will be a post about it in the near future.
