Pour répondre à Marcelle "La première nuit de la lecture" a eu son franc succès à Toulouse mais je n'ai eu d'échos que par le journal, aucun chiffre de donné quant à la participation.
Qui aura été à Nice aura le plaisir de retrouver dans le livre cité dans mon dernier billet "Le fils de trois pères" Hardigras, de nombreux lieux marquants. L'histoire est quelque peu rocambolesque et ma lecture touche bientôt à sa fin.

To answer Marcelle's question The first Reading's Night in Toulouse was a success but I did not get any direct feedback only through the local newspaper. No exact figures were provided. 
For the ones who went to Nice they will be pleased to recognize well-known places when reading the book. The story is utterly incredible and I am almost through with the reading.

Place maintenant à ce couple qui se lisait des passages des "Contes de Perrault" à l'abri du vent en contrebas de la Promenade des Anglais, installés comme nous confortablement face à la mer. 

Now I am stepping aside and leave you with this couple that was reading chosen passages of Charles Perrault's Fairy Tales. They were like us comfortably sitted below the Promenade des Anglais, facing the sea.

La première nuit de la lecture

Ce soir à Toulouse seront lus des textes de la  journaliste et écrivaine Turque Asli Erdoğan, emprisonnée puis libérée récemment pour qui «La liberté est un mot qui refuse de se taire».

The first Reading's Night in France 
Texts from the Turkish journalist and writer Asli Erdoğan will be read tonight in Toulouse. Asli Erdogan has been imprisoned and recently released and for whom "Liberty is a word which refused to stay silent".

Je n'y serai pas, je ferai ma propre lecture à la maison:  "Le fils de trois pères" écrit par Gaston Leroux, ceci suite à notre récent passage à Nice. Sa tombe, assez discrète, se trouve à l'entrée du Cimetière du Château.


I won't be there, instead I will carry my own reading at home with "The son of three fathers" by Gaston Leroux, following our recent stay in Nice. I found his rather discreet grave next to the cemetery entrance.



La tombe de la famille Tomatis est peut-être moins discrète mais elle tourne le dos à la ville, dommage pour Monsieur.

The Tomatis Family's monument is perhaps more visible but is not facing the beautiful city, too bad for Mr Tomatis.

Condom en Armagnac/Condom-sur-Baïse, un des deux centres historiques avec Eauze  de la Ténarèze , un des trois terroirs de la région  de France où la distillation de l’armagnac a lieu.

On ne peut bien sur échapper au "Un pour tous! Tous pour un!" vous l’aurez bien deviné.

On reconnait les personnages des Trois mousquetaires d’Alexandre Dumas : d’Artagnan le courageux, Athos le sage, Porthos le fort et le bon vivant et Aramis le poète.

Condom in Armagnac/Condom upon Baise,  one of the two centers of the Ténarèze: one of the three terroirs (plantation areas) in the Armagnac region of France where grapes for the distillation of the Armagnac eau-de-vie takes place.

We can’t escape the motto “"One for all and all for one!” when we speak about "The three musketeers” by Alexandre Dumas (author of The Count of Monte Cristo.) 
One can recognize: the courageous d’Artagnan, the sensitive Athos, the strong and reliable Portos and the poet and faithful Aramis.

« La nuit des calligraphes » Un livre écrit par Yasmine Ghata, qui retrace des épisodes de la vie de sa grand-mère, Rikkat Kunt, grande calligraphe turque. Une belle écriture toute en poésie et en douceur.

« The calligrapher’s night » written by Yasmine Ghata, portraying episodes in the life of her grandmother, Rikkat Kunt,  a great Turkish calligrapher. A lovely writing style full of poetry.

« Nous autres calligraphes sommes impénétrables, l’encre nous enseigne l’opacité. »

J’ai tourné avec regret la dernière page de ce si beau livre « La délicatesse » écrit par David Foenkinos. Un livre frais, une lecture simple. Une envie de revisiter certains livres ou certaines musiques.

A real good time: 
I did not want to let go of this book « Delicacy” by David Foenkinos. A sweet book, an easy read and just enough desire to revisit books from the past and reexamine a few songs lyrics.
